Shell Pilipinas Corporation and the Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC) sealed a partnership in August 2025 at Seda Hotel in Bacolod City. The agreement strengthens their shared commitment to safe, reliable, and accessible provincial travel across Visayas and Mindanao.

Boosting transport reliability

The Yanson Group, one of the largest provincial bus operators in the country, runs extensive routes that connect communities and support regional growth. Through the partnership, Shell will enhance the group’s operational efficiency and help serve thousands of daily passengers more effectively.

Exclusive lubricant solutions

Under the deal, Shell becomes the exclusive lubricant solutions provider for YGBC. The buses will primarily use Shell Rimula R4Plus, a premium heavy-duty diesel engine oil that improves vehicle performance, oil life, and fuel efficiency.

The broader Shell Rimula line offers up to 150,000 km oil drain intervals, 56 percent better wear protection, and improved fuel economy, helping reduce overall operating costs.

End-to-end business support

The collaboration also includes Shell’s full suite of technical services. This gives YGBC access to an end-to-end business solution that strengthens its position as a trusted name in public transport.

Shell Lubricants Philippines General Manager Jacqueline Famorca said the partnership reflects Shell’s long-term commitment to empower transport operators. “We aim to strengthen transport accessibility while helping operators optimize their operations and deliver better journeys to the Filipinos,” she said.
