TNT, the value brand of Smart Communications, brought more fun to Leyte’s biggest celebrations by boosting connectivity and offering festival promos.

Tacloban City’s Sangyaw Festival and Leyte Province’s Pintados Festival took place in June, honoring the Holy Child, Señor Santo Niño. Both events featured music, sports, pageants, art, and religious activities. Highlights included the Sangyaw Festival of Lights dance competition and the Pintados Festival grand ritual showdown.

Smart’s expanded 5G sites in Tacloban City allowed festivalgoers to share moments instantly. TNT also set up sales booths with promos and freebies, adding to the TNT Saya Fest experience.

TNT powered text-based voting for pageant competitions, letting the audience decide the winners of the TNT Choice Award.

Lloyd R. Manaloto, FVP and TNT Head, said TNT will keep improving its 5G services to make festivals more connected and enjoyable.

PLDT and Smart’s network upgrades and support for local events reflect their commitment to promoting culture, tourism, and access to advanced technology nationwide.
