The magic returns to the small screen as production officially begins for the much-anticipated HBO Original Harry Potter series. Filming is currently underway at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK, setting the stage for a reimagined journey through J.K. Rowling’s iconic Wizarding World. Set to premiere in 2027, the HBO Original Harry Potter series promises to enchant a new generation of fans across HBO and HBO Max, including newly announced markets like Germany, Italy, and the UK.
Joining the spellbinding cast are Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander. Behind the camera, HBO has assembled an award-winning team including Director of Photography Adriano Goldman, Production Designer Mara LePere-Schloop, and Hair and Makeup Designer Cate Hall, among others. Holly Waddington, previously announced, returns as Costume Designer, ensuring every robe and wand is worthy of Hogwarts.
Guiding the series’ creative direction is writer and executive producer Francesca Gardiner, with acclaimed director Mark Mylod helming multiple episodes. Executive producers also include J.K.
