Franchise owners from Cabanatuan and Bacolod share how their TGP journey grew from family livelihood into a meaningful way to serve communities.
For many TGP franchisees, starting a business began with a simple goal: to build a stable livelihood for their families. Over time, that decision became something bigger.
It became a way to serve communities by helping make affordable medicine more accessible to Filipino families.
In Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, husband and wife Jul and Darlene De Guzman were already running small businesses before joining TGP. What drew them to the brand was its clear purpose.
Jul said TGP stood out because its mission was already built in: to provide affordable medicine to people and communities.
The couple opened their first TGP branch in 2008. From personally managing daily operations, they eventually expanded across Central Luzon. But for them, growth was not only about opening more stores. It was also about learning leadership, managing pressure, and serving others.
In Bacolod City, Tweet and Daves Campos saw the opportunity from a personal need. As a young family, they moved to Bacolod for a calmer, more family-oriented life. During trips between Manila and Bacolod, they noticed how much more affordable medicines were at TGP.
That realization led them to open their first TGP branch in Bacolod in November 2009.
Like many entrepreneurs, both families faced challenges, from choosing the right location and meeting pharmaceutical requirements to building customer trust, competing with established pharmacies, and managing pharmacist shortages.
They said TGP’s support system helped them navigate these realities through training, product knowledge, operational guidance, supply chain support, and established processes.
For the franchisees, the business remains rooted in care, compassion, integrity, and community service.
Their stories show that entrepreneurship can go beyond income. With the right purpose, it can create livelihood while helping families access safe, effective, and affordable healthcare.
