Finestra and Yakumi bring a rare four-hands dinner experience to Solaire Resort North with “The Code of Umami.”
Solaire Resort North presents “The Code of Umami,” a one-night-only collaboration between two of its top restaurants, Finestra and Yakumi. The four-hands dinner will take place on October 17 at Finestra and will unite Italian soul and Japanese precision in a single six-course tasting menu.

This marks the first time Finestra and Yakumi have joined forces for an exclusive event. The menu, priced at Php 4,988++ per person, features a special pairing option of wine and sake for Php 1,888++. Each course reflects harmony, contrast, and the creative synergy between two world-class chefs.
Chef Joel Manchia of Finestra brings two decades of international fine dining experience from Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Before joining Solaire Resort North, he worked with Four Seasons in Houston, London, Beijing, and Hampshire, as well as The Ivy Asia in Brighton. At Finestra, Chef Joel is known for his refined approach and deep respect for Italian tradition.
Chef Cristian Asato of Yakumi carries his Japanese heritage into his mastery of Nikkei cuisine. He began in Lima, trained in Tokyo, and refined his craft in Hong Kong, Switzerland, and the Maldives. His time at Mandarin Oriental, The Alpina Gstaad, and Soneva shaped his modern interpretation of Japanese culinary philosophy.
“The Code of Umami” is more than a dinner. It is an exchange of identity and artistry between two culinary masters. The experience continues after dinner at Skybar, located across Finestra on Level 38, where cocktails and city views complete the night.
