The witches of Oz return in Wicked: For Good, the highly anticipated final chapter of the record-breaking musical film adaptation. Universal Pictures has released striking new posters, revealing Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda in their powerful new looks.
The film hits Philippine cinemas on November 19, bringing back the stellar cast including Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum.
Directed by Jon M. Chu, the sequel follows Elphaba and Glinda as they face the consequences of their choices and the estrangement that reshaped their friendship. Wicked: For Good closes the untold story of the witches of Oz, continuing the success of 2024’s Wicked, which earned 10 Oscar nominations and grossed $750 million worldwide.
Produced by Marc Platt and David Stone, with executive producers Stephen Schwartz, David Nicksay, Jared LeBoff, Winnie Holzman, and Dana Fox, the film promises an emotional and electrifying conclusion. The score is by John Powell and Stephen Schwartz, with lyrics by Schwartz, from Gregory Maguire’s bestselling novel.
