Cavetown, also known as Robin Skinner, has entered a new chapter with his signing to Futures Music Group and the release of his new single Baby Spoon.
The UK-born singer, songwriter, and producer unveiled Baby Spoon with an intimate video that highlights themes of softness, vulnerability, and self-acceptance. The track reflects his relationship with his partner and his journey of embracing delicacy after years of performing masculinity.
Cavetown’s career has been marked by steady growth, with six singles certified Platinum by the RIAA and performances at major festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, and Lollapalooza. He has also shared stages with AJR, Pierce the Veil, and Mother Mother.
Futures Music Group, the label now backing Cavetown, is a joint venture between Neon Gold and Avenue A Records, home to acts like Mt. Joy and Phantogram. This new signing positions him to expand his reach while continuing to make music that resonates deeply with his global fanbase.
Beyond music, Cavetown champions community causes through his This Is Home initiative, which has raised more than $650,000 for LGBTQ+ organizations.
