Bacolod will once again host the Tanduay Bacolod Rum Festival from August 28 to 31, marking its 5th year and aligning with the global celebration of Rum Month this August.

Launched in 2019 through the partnership of Tanduay Distillers Inc. and the City of Bacolod, the festival has become one of the city’s signature cultural events. It highlights Bacolod’s artistry, hospitality, and reputation as a hub of world-class rum-making.
The Tanduay Bacolod Rum Festival is more than a celebration. It is a tribute to Bacolod’s sugarcane and rum heritage, which has long supported the local economy and enriched its culture. Rum remains a symbol of Filipino craftsmanship and global pride.
“This is not just Bacolod’s pride, it’s the pride of the entire nation,” said Mayor Greg Gasataya. “Our rum heritage connects us to our past, strengthens our identity, and positions the Philippines on the global stage.”
With the theme “Ilabas ang Natatagong Galing,” the festival showcases hidden talents of Bacolodnons and Filipinos in music, dance, culinary arts, and mixology. It also promotes rum education, highlighting its role in shaping Philippine cocktail culture.
Festival highlights include:
- Street parades and dance competitions from August 28 to 30
- Culinary showcases pairing local food with premium rum
- Rum tastings honoring Bacolod’s rum heritage
- Performances by Amiel Sol, Robledo Timido, Zack Tabudlo, Mayonnaise, and appearances from Tanduay Ambassadors Derek Ramsay and Julia Barretto
- Food Park open until August 31
The event attracts thousands of visitors yearly, boosting Bacolod’s economy and tourism. Hotels, restaurants, and transport services benefit as the city welcomes guests from across the country and abroad.
Mayor Gasataya urged everyone to take part in the festivities. “See you at the 5th Tanduay Bacolod Rum Festival — let’s toast to Bacolod’s talent, culture, and spirit!”
