XYVRL returns with her newest single “HOTNCOLD,” released on June 27, 2025. This is her second single this year, following her well-received track “LILAGIRL.”
“HOTNCOLD” blends chill pop, soul, and RnB to talk about one-sided relationships. The lyrics express the pain of giving love without getting it back. “You don’t deserve me. Binigay ko sa’yo ang lahat when you were thirsty,” XYVRL sings, highlighting the disconnect between two people in love.
The song title reflects this contrast. It speaks to the warmth of being close physically, but the coldness that still exists emotionally. A standout lyric, “Mainit, mainit, mainit, mainit, pag kay katabi. Pero kahit magkadikit ay laging malamig ang ating gabi,” shows how distance can still exist even when together.
XYVRL gave fans a taste of the track during the “Find Your Kislap” single launch of a fellow Universal Records artist on June 26 at 225 Bar in Quezon City. A day later, the official release dropped on streaming platforms, along with a lyric video on Universal Records’ YouTube channel.
