Watsons Volunteerism for People and Planet Inspires Positive Change
Watsons Philippines continues to live its mission of “Look Good, Do Good, Feel Great” through volunteerism that touches lives and nurtures the planet. Employees from across the country are taking part in projects that improve health, protect the environment, and bring care to communities.

More than 450 Watsons employees volunteered this year. They joined eight Alagang Pangkalusugan medical missions, two Operation Smile surgical missions, three eco tours, and the International Coastal Clean-Up. These activities gave communities better access to healthcare and helped protect the environment.
Watsons Store Pharmacist Akira Aquino shared her experience during the Antipolo medical mission. “Many customers ask if Watsons offers free consultations. This initiative makes that possible. It brings doctors closer to people who need them,” she said.
At the heart of Watsons’ initiatives are its employee volunteers. They come from stores near mission sites, building stronger ties with their local communities. Colleagues from different departments also join, showing that service and compassion go beyond job titles.
Corina Marte, Director for People and Organizational Development, said, “Our employee volunteers are the heart of Watsons’ community efforts. Their commitment shows that the Watsons spirit of care extends beyond our stores.”
Through its People Pillar, Watsons empowers employees to make a difference. By aligning purpose with performance, the company turns volunteerism into a shared value. Every act of kindness becomes part of a larger effort to build healthier, happier communities.
Customers can also take part by donating to Operation Smile through cans available in Watsons stores. Each contribution helps children with cleft conditions gain confidence and hope.
