Ten universities are joining GCash for “The GMindset: Gear Up Your Financial Game,” a series of financial literacy bootcamps. Seven schools are already confirmed, including PUP, FEU, Adamson University, UP Diliman and Clark, Ateneo de Manila University, and CEU Manila. Three more schools will follow.
The program is designed to help students develop long-term saving and investing habits. Early sessions at PUP and FEU gathered nearly 500 students. They learned about goal-setting, saving, investment psychology, and trading strategies.
Interactive activities were also available. Students accessed on-site GCash Visa Card printing, a career opportunities booth, and GSave and GInvest registration support. GSave offers bank partnerships with CIMB, BPI, Maybank, UNO Digital Bank, and Cebuana Lhuillier Rural Bank. GInvest provides access to personal investment products.
GCash leaders said the goal is to make financial literacy engaging and accessible. John Garcia, head of customer success for wealth management, highlighted the importance of building confidence in saving and investing. Arjun Varma, general manager for wealth management, emphasized the role of young Filipinos in shaping a culture of financial inclusion.
Upcoming schedules include Adamson University on September 9, UP Clark on September 19, Ateneo de Manila University on September 20, and CEU Manila on September 24. More schools will be added.
“The GMindset” supports GCash’s mission of promoting Finance for All, by giving students practical lessons, mentorship, and tools to build strong financial habits early.
