Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NOW Corporation’s telecom arm, Now Telecom, to advance the Philippines’ national digital sovereignty, financial inclusivity, and cyber resilience.
Through the partnership, TCS will provide sovereign cloud technology, cyber-defense solutions, and trusted network expansion to strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure. The collaboration aligns with the Trusted Network Initiative, a global framework for secure telecommunications, and builds on TCS’ track record with government digital transformation projects.
NOW Group Chairman Mel Velarde said the partnership will reduce reliance on foreign technologies and create a secure, scalable, and locally controlled data infrastructure. The initiative supports national priorities in data sovereignty, operational interoperability, cyber resilience, and reduced foreign dependency.
TCS will deploy its SovereignSecure Cloud™ to ensure local data control, develop AI infrastructure, and maintain operational continuity. Its Cyber Defense Suite will provide advanced protection for critical systems, while citizen-focused services will enhance healthcare, digital banking, and other digital platforms, promoting financial inclusivity.
This partnership marks another milestone for TCS, which has operated in the Philippines since 2008, serving multiple industries and supporting the country’s goal of building a future-ready digital economy.
