Takeda Philippines has been certified as a Great Place to Work® for the fourth consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to a purpose-driven and people-centered workplace culture.

In the 2025 survey, 86 percent of employees said Takeda is a great place to work—well above the national average of 65 percent. The recognition reflects the company’s continued efforts to create a supportive, high-trust environment.

Addressing the Takeda Philippines workforce, Country Manager Loreann Villanueva said: “We sincerely thank you for your trust and feedback, for speaking up, and helping us grow stronger as an organization. It guides us in identifying what we are doing well and where we can do better. We are committed to listening, learning, and taking meaningful action to ensure Takeda continues to be a place where everyone can thrive.”

Villanueva emphasized that Takeda Philippines strongly believes in listening to its people. She said: “Your voice matters, and we will partner with you to continue making Takeda Philippines not just a great place to work for but a place where purpose thrives—where every individual feels that their work has a special meaning. In fact, 100 percent of our employees shared that their work here is more than just a job—it’s a calling. This powerful affirmation fuels our commitment to nurture a culture where everyone feels valued, inspired, and connected.”

One of the employees who attested to the fact that Takeda Philippines is a great place to work is Sheryll Anne Corpuz, Access to Medicines Lead. She said: “The culture of open communication nurtures trust and ensures that every individual is united in a shared vision. Our dedicated employees are wholeheartedly devoted to contributing to a common purpose, inspired by the profound impact our work has on the lives of patients. This makes every day at work meaningful and with a deeper sense of purpose.”

Added Hazel Canlas, Medical Operations and Excellence Manager: “I would recommend others to work for Takeda. If you are looking for a company that values not just its growth but your growth, then Takeda is for you. Takeda looks after its people. Takeda listens to its people and considers the growth and development of each employee, not just professional but personal growth as well.”

Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation. Said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work: “Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience. By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Takeda Philippines stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees.”

Research undertaken by Great Place to Work shows that employees at Certified workplaces are 93-percent more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits, and have a fair chance at promotion. In addition, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace.

Takeda Philippines received its first Great Place to Work Certification in 2022.
