At the final leg of the EastWest Dream Run 2025 in Filinvest City, over 6,000 runners showed up for fitness and fun. But one tiny contender stole the spotlight.
Liit, a French Bulldog and certified Pet With Disability (PWD), joined the 1K Dog Run in her custom wheelchair. She rolled beside her owner, an EastWestbanker, inspiring onlookers with her energy and spirit.
Liit may have lost the use of her hind legs, but not her zest for life. Her wagging tail and spinning wheels brought smiles to everyone along the route. Her owner, who has four other Frenchies, shared that joining the run was their way of celebrating Liit’s unstoppable drive.
“Liit may be small, but her dreams are anything but,” the owner said. “Being a PWD doesn’t mean missing out. She deserves to run free and feel the joy of the moment.”
Liit became a crowd favorite, embodying what the EastWest Dream Run stands for—heart, inclusion, and moving forward. Even without finishing the race, she reminded everyone that showing up is already a win.
The event celebrated EastWest’s 30th year and the Filinvest Group’s 70th anniversary. With inclusive categories from kids to pets, it brought people together in the name of health and connection.
From 30KM racers to four-legged participants, the Dream Run celebrated all kinds of journeys. And Liit’s run proved that dreams, no matter how small, deserve the biggest cheers.
