The Consulate General of the Republic of San Marino in the Philippines, led by Consul General Jean Henri Diago Lhuillier, is driving a major initiative to strengthen inclusive education and digital readiness among Filipino learners.
The program has reached public schools and Alternative Learning System (ALS) centers in both urban and remote areas. From Manila, Pasig, Caloocan, Parañaque, and Quezon City to Bongao in Tawi-Tawi and Banocboc in the Calaguas Islands, more than a dozen schools have already benefited. Among them are Rafael Palma Elementary School, Nagpayong Elementary School, San Isidro National High School, and Juliana Elementary School. More schools in Ifugao, Camiguin, Mindoro, South Cotabato, and Masbate are next in line.
The initiative integrates cultural preservation, financial literacy, and artificial intelligence modules into classrooms. Learners are gaining not only knowledge but also practical skills to prepare them for the digital economy. Book donations preserve heritage while financial literacy and AI modules give students confidence to manage daily life and future careers.
Consul General Lhuillier stressed the vision behind the program: “Inclusive and quality education is the foundation of a better society. By working hand-in-hand, we can empower learners with the skills and values they need to shape their future and uplift their communities.”
The San Marino Consulate shows that diplomacy can extend beyond traditional relations. Through education and innovation, it becomes a strong force for nation-building, cultural understanding, and inclusive growth.
