Rex Education’s unwavering commitment to uplifting Philippine education reached another milestone as it earned the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) CSR Medal of Recognition (Education Category) on July 1, 2025. This recognition highlights the outstanding impact of its Edukampyon Corps of Trainers in capacitating the private education sector.
The Edukampyon Corps of Trainers began as a 67-member volunteer initiative to support private schools in implementing the MATATAG Curriculum. It has since evolved into a powerhouse of 316 educators, administrators, and academic experts from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Their mission: to empower teachers and education institutions through quality assurance mentoring, institutionalization of professional learning communities (PLCs), and the development of training modules under the REX QA-SAMA Program.
From November to December 2024 alone, the Edukampyon Corps trained 4,711 teachers and reached nearly 100,000 more through a widely viewed nine-episode webinar series. With 92 unique training materials developed and 17 major training sessions completed, the Corps’ influence continues to ripple throughout the education sector.
“The Edukampyon Corps is essentially mula sa mga guro, para sa kapwa guro—a perfect complement to REX’s guiding principle of para sa bata, para sa mamamayan, para sa bayan,” said Don Timothy Buhain, CEO of Rex Education.
Strategic collaborations with the Department of Education (DepEd), COCOPEA, CEAP, and leading academic institutions such as UP College of Education and Xavier School helped amplify the initiative’s success. Through this powerful network, Rex Education’s Edukampyon Corps has been able to create context-specific, community-responsive training for private schools regardless of geography.
This recognition from LCF is not just an award but a validation of Rex Education’s commitment to nation-building through education. The Edukampyon Corps continues to champion the future of Philippine education—one empowered teacher at a time.
