The Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) is offering its lowest foreign exchange (FX) conversion fee for its RCBC Visa Infinite cards at just 1.5 percent.
The offer will provide the cardholders unbeatable value on all their international purchases, for both card present and online, from June 10 to August 31. Most local card issuers charge FX fees ranging from 1.68- to 3.5 percent.
“This promo, the lowest among all our credit cards, offers real, tangible value to cardholders who frequently shop or travel abroad,” said Mr. Arniel Vincent B. Ong, RCBC Credit Cards President and CEO.
Under this promo, the 1.5-percent FX conversion fee allows cardholders to save more on every transaction, whether booking flights, paying hotel stays, shopping overseas, or checking out from global online stores.
In addition to the low FX fee, cardholders enjoy unlimited airport lounge access, complimentary travel insurance, 5x reward points on overseas spend, and flexible installment options through UNLI Installment.
“When purchases are done abroad with an RCBC Visa Infinite, the cardholders earn 5x reward points. These points can be converted to cash at a rate that effectively gives them a 2.5-percent rebate. ” Mr. Ong expounded.
All eligible foreign currency purchases made between June 10 and August 30 this year, are automatically charged the reduced rate without a need for the cardholders to register or meet any minimum spend. The transactions simply have to be billed in foreign currency at point of sale.
RCBC Visa Infinite cards are the highest tier cards for RCBC’s Visa Portfolio. RCBC manages the fourth-largest credit card portfolio in terms of receivables in the country’s banking system.
