Rang-ay Bank marks 70 years as a trusted financial partner in the Ilocos and Cordillera regions. Founded on January 16, 1956, the bank’s mission has been to drive rural development by providing vital credit to farmers, fisherfolk, and SMEs.
Chairman Ives Nisce said the bank was built on the principle of empowering the countryside, supporting businesses from small family ventures to major industries that contribute to regional growth.

Over the decades, Rang-ay Bank has strengthened local economies by offering affordable credit to the agricultural sector and supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises. President and CEO Ives Jesus Nisce emphasized that being the “bank of choice” in the north reflects their commitment to understanding and meeting client needs.

The bank now operates 31 branches across Region I and the Cordilleras. It has embraced innovation through partnerships with remittance services like Instapay, Pesonet, Transfast, and iRemit, expanding access for communities with family members working afar.
As it approaches its milestone anniversary in 2026, Rang-ay Bank plans to introduce enhanced digital banking services and tailored financial products, supported by an upgraded core system. The goal is to provide greater convenience while continuing its role as a lifelong financial partner for the people of the north.
