VALORANT players in the Philippines will soon enjoy smoother gameplay with the launch of the game’s first-ever local gameserver in Manila on August 20, 2025, at 5:00 AM (PHT).
Riot Games announced that the new Manila server will deliver lower ping, improved stability, and reduced connectivity issues for Filipino players. This aims to solve common problems encountered when connecting to overseas servers, particularly in Hong Kong.
The Manila server will serve as an additional option under the Southeast Asia region, labeled “MNL” in server settings. Players can freely choose between the Manila and Hong Kong servers without affecting their eligibility for tournaments such as Premier and the Challengers Southeast Asia league.
The launch comes after VALORANT’s fifth anniversary, which featured community tributes including a Taguig City mural, a “Humans of VALORANT” mini-documentary, and a tribute video highlighting Filipino players.
Riot Games Philippines Brand Manager Jason Roberto said the move reflects their commitment to supporting the local gaming community and enhancing player experience through better connectivity and more localized matches.
To celebrate the launch, Riot Games Philippines will host community tournaments nationwide. Updates will be available through VALORANT PH’s official social media channels.
