Omega Healthcare is deepening its collaboration with Microsoft to accelerate the use of generative and agentic AI in revenue cycle management (RCM). Through Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and the Omega Digital Platform (ODP), the company has launched over 20 AI solutions to optimize healthcare revenue operations.
The expanded partnership focuses on real-world impact. These AI-powered tools now support healthcare providers by automating time-consuming tasks like appeal filing, denial management, call center support, and correspondence handling. This helps organizations reduce manual workload, improve accuracy, and enhance financial performance.
Since 2023, Omega Healthcare has been building solutions using Microsoft’s large language models. CEO Anurag Mehta noted that this collaboration eliminates the need for major tech investments from healthcare leaders. “They can focus on delivering care while we handle the complexity of automation,” Mehta said.
Microsoft’s Elena Bonfiglioli praised Omega Healthcare as a standout partner in applying Azure AI to practical healthcare use cases. The integrated ODP now supports full revenue cycle functions—patient access, mid-cycle tasks, and back-end operations. It automates processes such as medical coding and clinical documentation improvement, resulting in faster resolutions, fewer follow-up days, and higher compliance.
Omega is also innovating in payer services, like HCC coding automation and data curation for life sciences. Mehta said the company is “just getting started” and highlighted a recent Everest Group survey, where 85% of healthcare executives said AI would improve RCM over the next five years.
Omega’s focus remains clear: to lead tech-driven RCM transformation without adding risk or cost to its customers.
