We are proud to share that two exceptional students from the Philippines were recently recognised on an international stage in an inspiring story of global collaboration and academic excellence.

In a remarkable display of talent and innovation, Crescia San Angel and Stephanie Jane Magbitang emerged as champions in the Next Generation Innovations international student competition, receiving scholarships that will pave the way for their higher education, as part of the top three winners, who were awarded a total of ₱1,578,900. This prestigious competition – hosted by Study Group – attracted entries from all across Southeast Asia, a testament to ASEAN’s collaborative spirit that showcased these bright young minds and their groundbreaking ideas.

The competition saw students from diverse backgrounds come together to present their visionary projects. Participants were tasked with creating comprehensive proposals demonstrating how their higher education pursuits could positively impact their communities and the world. Stephanie’s project, “Divorce Dialogue,” was designed to educate and support individuals dealing with divorce, helping to create a more informed and safe environment and solidifying her eventual plans to become a lawyer. Meanwhile, Crescia’s proposal involved providing support and safety for overseas workers, especially in Asia and the Pacific, in efforts to enhance diplomatic efforts, increase awareness of abuse, and create initiatives to address global human rights issues.
