Lo Ting-Fai, also known as Lofai, has been named President of Warner Music APAC. His appointment takes effect on August 11. He will operate from Hong Kong and report directly to Warner Music Group CEO Robert Kyncl.
All APAC recorded music territory heads will now report to Lofai.
Lofai brings deep experience in entertainment, having led PCCW’s MakerVille as CEO and served as COO of streaming platform Viu. He is also a songwriter under the name “Yu Ri.”
At Warner Music, Lofai aims to boost Asian artists on the global stage, grow the catalog, and drive new ways to build fan engagement.
CEO Robert Kyncl described the appointment as critical to WMG’s strategy. “Lofai will oversee many of our highest priority markets,” Kyncl said, praising his mix of creativity, business insight, and regional digital knowledge.
Lofai began his career in radio before working at top ad firms like Wieden+Kennedy and CTWCM. He later became Apple’s Creative Director for Asia Pacific. He joined PCCW in 2010.
He holds academic credentials from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of Oxford, and Harvard Business School.
