The Legendary Hideway Is The Only Property In California And Just One Of Only Two Hotels In The United States To Have Earned A Spot On The Highly Anticipated List
Hotel Bel-Air has been named No. 42 in the global ranking of The World’s 50 Best Hotels for 2025, with the legendary hideaway proudly standing as the sole California hotel and one of only two properties in the United States on the esteemed list. The third edition of The World’s 50 Best Hotels has been announced at a captivating awards ceremony in London and features industry-defining hotels spanning six continents worldwide.
This year’s awards ceremony once again united the global travel and hospitality community to celebrate the world’s best hotels. Held at London’s iconic Old Billingsgate on the banks of the River Thames, the event showcased exceptional hotel experiences that will inspire consumers, travellers and hoteliers around the globe.
Hotel Bel-Air’s 12-acre paradise embodies the ‘other LA,’ away from the roar, the chatter, and untouched by the clamour of life beyond the gates of Bel-Air which have become a definitive checkpoint and a place through which to pass into the leafy, winding roads of this realm of quiet grace. Beautiful rooms and suites celebrate the glamour of Hollywood past and present, with a spirit of understated luxury and timeless cool. Many flow through to private gardens and patios to reflect the best of LA’s celebrated outdoor lifestyle. Guests dine and imbibe in relaxed, elegant settings where familiar flavours and hand-crafted cocktails are elevated with quiet confidence, while The Spa at Hotel Bel-Air offers a private, restorative experience.
Emma Sleight, Head of Content for The World’s 50 Best Hotels, says: “We’re delighted to return to London for the third edition of The World’s 50 Best Hotels. It’s an honour to gather so many leading voices in travel, hospitality and hotels – and to celebrate the very best.
