HealthMax Plus: Cebuana Lhuillier Expands Practical and Accessible Health Coverage Options

As healthcare costs continue to evolve, the need for accessible and practical health protection  has become increasingly important—not only for organizations designing employee benefits, but also, for individuals seeking dependable coverage. Cebuana Lhuillier is advancing this space  through HealthMax Plus, demonstrating how structured protection can transform fixed budgets  and limited allocations into meaningful, usable healthcare coverage.

HealthMax Plus reflects Cebuana Lhuillier’s broader approach to financial protection: designing

solutions that respond to real-world constraints while expanding access to essential services. By

structuring healthcare coverage to remain affordable and easy to access, the program enables more Filipinos to obtain health protection that supports both preventive care and medical needs as  they arise.

The program has proven particularly relevant for institutions working within defined benefit frameworks, including the ₱7,000 annual medical allowance provided to government employees

under Executive Order No. 64. Through Cebuana Lhuillier’s structured approach, this allocation

can be converted into a more robust health coverage of up to P150,000 annually, without requiring prior medical examinations. This demonstrates how fixed benefit structures can be optimized to provide more relevant and more dependable healthcare access.

At the same time, HealthMax Plus is also available to private sector organizations and individuals seeking practical and accessible health protection. By offering a structured plan that

simplifies enrollment while providing meaningful coverage, Cebuana Lhuillier expands access to  healthcare protection for a broader segment of the population.

Jean Henri Lhuillier, President and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier, emphasized the importance of  designing protection solutions that remain accessible across different circumstances.“Our focus is to make health protection more practical and within reach of more Filipinos. By structuring coverage in ways that maximize available resources, we help ensure that individuals and institutions alike are able to access meaningful protection that supports both immediate and

long-term needs,” he said.

HealthMax Plus includes emergency care, hospitalization coverage, annual physical examinations, unlimited teleconsultations, and dental services—ensuring that coverage  supports both preventive care and responsive treatment. With access to more than 500  accredited hospitals nationwide and supported by Cebuana Lhuillier’s extensive branch  network, the program is designed to make healthcare easier to navigate across locations.

The program is delivered in collaboration with PhilCare, combining Cebuana Lhuillier’s nationwide service infrastructure with PhilCare’s established healthcare expertise and provider network. This collaboration allows coverage to translate into practical healthcare access, supported by institutions with complementary strengths in financial protection and healthcare  delivery.

Jaeger Tanco, President and CEO of PhilCare, highlighted the value of combining healthcare  expertise with accessible distribution.“Together we are making excellent and reliable healthcare within reach of Filipinos. We want to help make sure that when a Filipino needs access to treatment, they can focus on getting better rather than how they’ll pay the bill.”

Accessible health protection enables individuals and organizations to manage medical needs  with greater confidence while encouraging earlier use of preventive care. By making structured coverage easier to access, HealthMax Plus transforms fixed resources into meaningful  protection that supports both immediate healthcare needs and long-term financial resilience. Through solutions such as HealthMax Plus, Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers (CLIB) continues to broaden access to protection that helps Filipinos navigate healthcare costs more securely and sustainably.
