Hayley Williams just dropped a surprise collection of 17 new singles. All songs were produced by Daniel James and self-released under her new label, Post Atlantic.
The project shows the full range of her solo voice. “Mirtazapine” is a raw nod to ‘90s alt-rock. “Glum” leans electronic, warping her voice with vocal presets. “Whim” dips into Americana with subtle Nashville roots. “Ice in My OJ” brings back a 2004 Paramore deep cut with sharp modern lyrics.
Williams played and recorded multiple instruments across the project. Longtime collaborators Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard contributed to the set. Jim-E Stack joins her on the track “True Believer.”
This release marks her first solo effort since Paramore announced independence from Atlantic Records in 2023. Distributed by Secretly Distribution, the project shows Williams reclaiming creative control after 20 years under a major label contract she signed as a teen.
This is her third solo release. Previous albums, Petals for Armor (2020) and Flowers for Vases (2021), explored themes of loss and reflection. In contrast, this new batch of songs is freer, more genre-blending and experimental.
Hayley Williams is best known as Paramore’s lead vocalist. She’s a 3-time Grammy winner and recently made history with Paramore’s 2023 album This Is Why, earning the band two Grammys and making them the first female-fronted rock band to win Best Rock Album.
With this new drop, Williams affirms her position as a restless, genre-spanning artist with full creative command.
