H.E.R. and Liza Soberano star in the first DreamWorks Animation film centered around Filipino culture, “Forgotten Island”

An unbreakable bond between two friends gets challenged in “Forgotten Island,” an animated original film brought to life by DreamWorks Animation. The film, featuring Filipino culture at the forefront, stars H.E.R. and Liza Soberano as high school graduates Jo and Raissa. As they prepare to take separate paths in their life, Jo and Raissa accidentally travel into the island of Nakali, a mysterious island populated by Filipino mythical creatures. As they look for a way hom, they stumble upon weredog Raww (Dave Franco), and the most feared creature on the island, The Dreaded Manananggal (Lea Salonga).

“Forgotten Island” also stars Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, and Ronny Chieng. Catch the captivating tale as “Forgotten Island” arrives in Philippine cinemas on September 23.
