Crunchyroll Reveals New Anime Slate at Anime Expo, Including Overgeared, Goodbye, Lara, and Sasaki and Peeps Season 2

Crunchyroll has announced a major lineup of upcoming anime titles during Anime Expo, giving fans an early look at several highly anticipated series set to stream on the platform.

The announcement forms part of Crunchyroll’s extensive Anime Expo programming, which includes creator appearances, voice actor panels, exclusive previews, and major anime reveals for audiences around the world.

Among the newly announced titles is Goodbye, Lara, a fantasy romance inspired by the classic tale of a mermaid princess. The story follows Lara, who awakens 200 years after her tragic fate and begins a new search for true love in modern-day Lake Biwa.

Another highly anticipated addition is Overgeared, based on the popular web novel and webtoon. The series follows Shin Youngwoo, known in-game as Grid, whose life changes after obtaining a legendary class that transforms him into one of the most powerful players in the virtual reality game Satisfy.

Fans of fantasy adventures can also look forward to I Became a Legend after My 10 Year-Long Last Stand, which tells the story of an S-rank mage who defeats the Demon King only to return ten years later to a world that believes he died a hero.

Returning for a second season is Sasaki and Peeps, the fantasy comedy that follows an ordinary office worker whose pet bird turns out to be a powerful mage from another world. The new season continues the magical adventures of Sasaki and his unusual companion.

Crunchyroll also unveiled several romance and fantasy adaptations, including The Oblivious Saint Can’t Contain Her Power, The Ogre’s Bride, and The Villager of Level 999, each bringing unique worlds filled with magic, adventure, and self-discovery.
