Fisher Mall Holiday Hope Shines for Cancer Patients

Fisher Mall Holiday Hope supports Bahay Aruga through Christmas traditions

Fisher Mall opened the holiday season with a celebration that focused on community, support, and shared purpose. Both its Quezon Avenue and Malabon branches launched “A Holiday of Hope,” a tree lighting event that brought families, shoppers, performers, and city officials together. The mall used the start of Christmas to highlight a cause that touches many Filipino families. The annual celebration now supports children from Bahay Aruga, a free halfway house for pediatric cancer patients.

The launch gathered guests from Quezon City and Malabon. The Quezon City Symphonic Band, Malabon Concert Singers, and Ballet Manila performed throughout the program. Shoppers also enjoyed interactive activities that encouraged participation and connection. A Christmas themed LEGO display from the PinoyLUG community, led by Leslie Araujo, added a nostalgic moment. Children and adults spent time with the display and took photos to mark the opening of the season.

Local officials attended the event and showed support for Fisher Mall’s community efforts. Councilor Dorothy Delarmente, Councilor Charm Ferrer, and Councilor Nikki Crisologo joined the celebration. Their presence signaled a shared direction for programs that help local culture, creativity, and social involvement grow.

Fisher Mall President Raymond Del Rosario said that the mall will continue to serve as a venue for local performers and groups. He added that the mall’s activity centers help build safe spaces where people gather, share stories, and grow as a community. The mall now aims to deepen its partnerships with local government units to reach more people.

This year, Fisher Mall turned holiday excitement into direct support through the Fisher Elite Card. A portion of every card sold until December 31, 2025 will fund Bahay Aruga’s programs for children with cancer. The donation will help provide food, daily essentials, medical support, and learning activities. The mall and the halfway house have been partners since 2023. Their work shows how a simple shopping decision can help improve the lives of young patients.

Del Rosario encouraged shoppers to take part in the program. He said that lighting the Christmas trees also lights hope for the children who need support. He invited the public to join Fisher Mall in building a season defined by care and shared responsibility. Those who want to support Bahay Aruga through the Fisher Elite Card can visit the mall’s official Facebook page.
