Residents and visitors of Morong, Rizal and Mambajao, Camiguin can now contact 911 through messaging apps. NGA 911 Philippines has activated its NEXiS Message platform in both municipalities, allowing emergency calls and reports via Facebook Messenger, with more apps to follow.

Through NEXiS Message, users can send text messages, make video or voice calls, and share photos, videos, and files directly to the LGU’s unified emergency platform. All communications are encrypted to protect sensitive data.

Before this upgrade, emergency teams had to monitor multiple apps, risking slower response times. Now, all messages go to a single interface, improving speed and efficiency.
NGA 911 Philippines Country Head Robert Llaguno said the system ensures both privacy and quick response. The cloud-native platform integrates with old and new systems, supporting mapping, voice recording, and multimedia sharing for better coordination among agencies.
With this move, Morong and Mambajao join global cities using next generation 911 technology for modern, secure, and streamlined emergency response.
