“People Experience Made Easy” recognized for simplifying and humanizing HR transformation

EastWest has been recognized with the  People Program of the Year – National Winner at the 2025 People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) Awards held at Nustar Resort and Casino in Cebu.

Of the 23 organizations evaluated nationwide, six were recognized as Regional Exemplars, and only three programs emerged as National Winners. EastWest was the sole honoree singled out for its innovative and sustainable HR transformation program, People Experience Made Easy, aligning with this year’s PMAP theme:
“Sustainable HR Strategies in a Challenging World.”

People Experience Made Easy is central to EastWest’s People Advantage Gameplan. This transformation initiative aims to simplify and humanize employee experience by leveraging grassroots technology and automation development, data insighting, and personal connection.

This enabled:

  • More efficient and proactive people service delivery
  • Focused and personalized program and service delivery offerings
  • Increased HR capacity, coverage and value while keeping headcount, operating costs, and technology investments at reasonable levels
  • HR staff growth and advancement

The program significantly influenced the sustained increase in employee engagement and satisfaction; continued decline in attrition rates; and effectiveness in attracting talent through different sourcing channels.“This award proves that purpose driven, technology and data enabled, and people-centric grassroots incremental transformation, when collectively owned and consistently implemented can result to significant outcomes.” said Atty. Alfie Suarez, Chief People, Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer at EastWest. “This validates that we are moving towards the right direction and encourages us to accelerate and scale our efforts on this transformation that makes talent experience easy, but also positions our people as the Bank’s continuing and compelling competitive advantage.” Atty. Suarez added.
