Dusit International has announced a new addition to its Middle East footprint with the upcoming opening of dusitD2 Al Ahsa in Saudi Arabia. The resort is scheduled to open in 2027.
Located in Al Ahsa Oasis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dusitD2 Al Ahsa will cater to both business and leisure travelers. The resort is being developed in partnership with Al Ghadeer Group and will feature 120 suites with private terraces and plunge pools.
The resort will sit 30 minutes from Al Ahsa International Airport and 90 minutes from Dammam. Cairo-based El Ghoneimi Architects designed the project to reflect the region’s natural surroundings and cultural heritage. The layout uses organic forms, natural textures, and symbols of Al Ahsa’s 2.5 million palm trees.
Facilities will include:
- A wellness center with yoga and holistic spaces
- A 1,500 sqm ballroom and event lawn
- Meeting rooms for business use
- All-day dining restaurant and café
- Outdoor pools and a kids’ club
Guests can also explore nearby attractions such as Al Qarah Mountain and Qaisariah Souq.
Mr Gilles Cretallaz, COO of Dusit International, said the signing shows Dusit’s ongoing commitment to sustainable growth and cultural integration in key global destinations.
This marks Dusit’s second confirmed property in Saudi Arabia, following Dusit Princess Al Majma’ah in Riyadh, set to open later this year.
