Financial and business leaders came together at the CIBI Impact 2025 Summit, organized by CIBI Information Inc., the country’s first local credit bureau. The event gathered more than 150 participants, including regulators, innovators, and executives, to discuss how trusted data and collaboration can strengthen the financial ecosystem.
CIBI President and CEO Pia Arellano emphasized the importance of innovation while preserving the company’s legacy. She highlighted the summit’s focus on breaking barriers to financial freedom in the Philippines.
Key partners FICO, JurisTech, and FinScore showcased how collaboration drives growth:
- FICO shared that loan adoption is rising, signaling opportunities for lenders to create more accessible and value-driven credit products.
- JurisTech demonstrated how AI and machine learning can streamline lending processes, improve risk assessments, and deliver personalized services.
- FinScore presented how alternative credit scoring using telco data helps extend financial access to millions of “credit invisible” Filipinos.
Industry leaders including Peter B. Favila, Nicholas Mapa, and Atty. Ben Joshua Baltazar echoed the same call: collaboration and trusted data are critical to shaping sustainable economic progress.
“Trusted data does not just enable transactions, it enables transformation,” Favila noted.
By the end of the summit, participants strengthened networks and reinforced their commitment to advancing financial inclusion and innovation in the Philippines.
