Cebuana Lhuillier and Maya formed a new alliance to expand credit and remittance services in the Philippines. Cebuana Lhuillier provides its trusted nationwide network. Maya contributes its digital banking and payment expertise. Together, they give Filipinos stronger access to financial tools and services.
The partnership introduces “Easy Loan, a partnership between Cebuana Lhuillier and Maya.” Through this program, consumers can borrow between PHP1,000 and PHP30,000. Meanwhile, Cebuana Lhuillier agents gain working capital loans of up to PHP350,000. These loans are designed for sari-sari stores, micro-merchants, and independent sellers. Agents receive funds within minutes and handle repayments through the app.
In addition, Maya Center agents now earn from offering Cebuana Lhuillier’s international remittance services. Onboarding is simple, and agents enjoy discounted subscriptions. As a result, they strengthen their income while serving their communities with trusted remittance options.
Company leaders highlighted the partnership’s impact. Jean Henri Lhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier president and CEO, said the alliance improves customer access both online and offline. Philippe André Lhuillier, senior EVP, noted that agents gain capital to grow their businesses while customers learn responsible credit use.
Furthermore, Maya Group president Shailesh Baidwan explained that the alliance bridges physical access and digital banking. Likewise, Maya CEO Orlando Vea stressed that inclusion means resilience. He emphasized the value of practical financial tools that help Filipinos manage their money.
With more than 3,500 Cebuana Lhuillier branches and 25,000 partner doors nationwide, the reach is unmatched. Combined with Maya’s digital platform, the partnership creates a strong foundation for credit, remittance, and digital services. Both firms commit to innovation at the community level where it matters most.
