Bridging hearts and homes. In Tarlac and Nueva Ecija, Aboitiz Foods employees came together with residents of host communities, distributed grocery packs, and shared the holiday spirit through community celebrations. The initiative reflects Aboitiz Foods’ commitment to shared progress by supporting the communities where it operates.

Ending the year with purpose, regional agribusiness player Aboitiz Foods reinforces its mission of sustainably feeding Asia’s growth from mill to meal through a series of community initiatives across the Philippines and China. Anchored on its brand promise, “Together we nourish the future,” the company’s year-end outreach programs reflect its belief that sustainable growth is built on shared progress.

Through its producer brands – Pilmico and Gold Coin – Aboitiz Foods implemented initiatives that responded to community needs, including food security, health, and social inclusion, supporting vulnerable sectors while fostering local partnerships—aligning with the company’s approach to creating lasting value and meaningful impact in the communities where it operates.

“As we end the year, we are reminded that our role as a food and agribusiness company goes beyond the food value chain,” said Joeben Gamatero, Aboitiz Foods’ Vice President for Brand & Reputation Management and Agribusiness Marketing, adding, “‘Together we nourish the future’

is how we choose to grow—by uplifting communities, empowering people, and building trust wherever we operate. When communities thrive, our business becomes stronger, more resilient, and more relevant across the region.”

Spreading kindness and hope. Aboitiz Foods brought holiday cheer and essential support to Badjao students and to pediatric patients, newborns, and mothers in Iligan City. Through its Community Christmas Outreach, Aboitiz Foods reinforces its belief that nourishing the future begins with caring for people and communities.

Strengthening communities in the Philippines

In the Philippines, Aboitiz Foods, through Pilmico Foods Corporation and Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corporation, rolled out year-end outreach programs that supported vulnerable groups and host communities.

On December 13, 35 Aboitiz Foods employees volunteered to extend support to 50 Badjao students of the Presbyterian Christian Academy, and to 50 pediatric patients and 50 newborns with their mothers at Gregorio T. Lluch Memorial Hospital in Iligan City. Beneficiaries received essential food items, school supplies, hygiene kits, and holiday care packages, providing comfort and support to families facing social and health-related challenges during the holiday season.

“This initiative brought joy and encouragement to the children and their families, making the season meaningful for them,” shared Henrieto I. Pacaldo, School Administrator of Presbyterian Christian Academy, expressing appreciation for the continued partnership.

Earlier in Iligan, Aboitiz Foods, together with Aboitiz Foundation, Aboitiz Power, and the

Department of Education, also turned over solar-powered classrooms, Starlink internet connection, and digital learning tools to five last-mile schools under the AuroraPH program.

Meanwhile, in Tarlac and Nueva Ecija, Aboitiz Foods distributed grocery packs, provided hot meals, and organized community celebrations, reaching nearly 900 residents across six communities near its feedmill, farms, and meat operations.

These initiatives reflect Aboitiz Foods’ people-centered approach, recognizing employees, partners, and communities as integral to its operations while reinforcing trust and collaboration in its key Philippine markets.

Bringing care to the vulnerable. In China, Aboitiz Foods, through Gold Coin China-Guangxi, distributed essential food supplies to elderly residents in Dongshan Town, Yunnan Province, in collaboration with local village committees.

Supporting the elderly in rural China

Extending its regional impact, Aboitiz Foods, through Gold Coin China–Guangxi, implemented a community outreach initiative for elderly residents in Dongshan Town, Yunnan Province. Conducted on December 6. The program provided care packages to 145 elderly individuals,

including those with disabilities, containing essential staples such as rice and cooking oil. Located along the border of Yunnan and Guizhou, Dongshan Town faces challenges such as limited arable land and the outmigration of younger residents, leaving many elderly individuals vulnerable and isolated. By working closely with local village committees and sourcing supplies locally, Aboitiz Foods not only responded to the immediate needs but also supported the local economy and laid the foundation for sustained community engagement.

“We are sincerely grateful for your visit and for providing us with the most essential supplies we urgently needed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” shared one of the elderly beneficiaries.

Nourishing the Future through Shared Value

Through its corporate social responsibility programs, Aboitiz Foods brings it brand promise and core values to life while contributing to key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including No Poverty (SDG 1), Zero Hunger (SDG 2), Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), and Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11).

Beyond social impact, these CSR programs play a strategic role in strengthening Aboitiz Foods’ regional operations—reinforcing trust, deepening partnerships, and supporting long-term resilience across its markets.

As the company looks ahead to the coming year, Aboitiz Foods remains focused on scaling its impact responsibly, ensuring that growth continues to deliver value for its customers, partners, communities, and the broader food value chain.
