Atome Financial ended 2024 with record growth. The company reported operating income of US$236 million, a 63% increase year-on-year. It also achieved its first full-year profit, marking a major milestone in its expansion.
The platform includes Atome’s Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL), Atome Card, and Kredit Pintar. In 2024, it processed more than US$2 billion in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV), a 50% rise from the year before. By Q2 2025, annualised GMV surpassed US$4 billion. At the same time, annualised net revenue crossed US$500 million.
Growth was supported by three key drivers:
- Product diversification: New offerings in insurance, savings, cards, and lending. In the Philippines, adoption of the Atome PayLater Anywhere Card grew fast, with 1.5 million cards issued by June 2025.
- Operational excellence: Faster deployment of Generative AI improved customer service, collections, and credit checks.
- Capital support: Global institutions such as BlackRock, EvolutionX, Innoven Capital, and CLSA’s Lending Ark provided funding. HSBC led an expanded syndicated facility joined by DBS, SMBC, and Baiduri Bank.
CEO Jefferson Chen said the results prove the strength of the company’s financial platform. “With a profitable BNPL business, a growing Atome Card franchise, and stronger partnerships, we are ready to lead the next phase of financial inclusion in Southeast Asia,” he said.
