Executive Champion of the Year honor for AIA Philippines CEO

Melita Teo, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Philippines, has been named Executive Champion of the Year at the 10th Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards in Singapore. The recognition highlights her leadership in driving innovation, empowering advisers, and shaping the insurance industry with growth and purpose.

Since taking the role in 2024, Teo has strengthened AIA Philippines’ distribution strategy, helping sustain growth and boost bancassurance through BPI AIA. She led digital transformation with enhanced sales and recruitment platforms, AI-driven training programs, and accessible products like PamilyaProtect and InstaProtect. These innovations allowed Life Planners and Bank Sales Executives to improve efficiency and better serve Filipino families.

Teo also pushed for initiatives with social impact. The AIA Healthiest Schools program has already reached 7,200 students and teachers nationwide. The company also reinforced its environmental commitments under AIA Net Zero. Under her leadership, AIA Philippines gained recognition as a Great Place to Work, Best Place to Work, and at the 2025 HR Asia Awards for its achievements in diversity, sustainability, and employee empowerment.

On the business front, AIA Philippines was recognized at the 2025 Insurance Asia Awards for its digital advancements and customer-focused solutions. These milestones reflect Teo’s vision of balancing growth with purpose and community impact.

Looking ahead, Teo reaffirmed her commitment to investing in technology, training, and wellness initiatives. She emphasized the importance of equipping Life Planners with tools and support to create long-term value for Filipino families.

The Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards, now on its 10th year, continues to honor leaders who excel in serving their communities. Teo’s award strengthens AIA Philippines’ mission to help more Filipinos live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
