Acer has launched the Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 514, its first Chromebook powered by the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra processor with integrated NPU. The convertible device combines AI-driven performance, strong battery life, and a sleek yet durable design.
The MediaTek Kompanio Ultra brings 50 TOPS of AI processing power. This enables real-time automation, on-device generative AI, and offline functionality. Users can expect up to 17 hours of battery life, making it ideal for work or school. The Arm Immortalis-G925 MC11 GPU ensures smooth performance for editing, rendering, and modeling tasks.
The Chromebook Plus Spin 514 integrates Google AI features like smart tab grouping, AI-powered image editing, and a Quick Insert key for one-touch access to tools. It also comes with a complimentary 12-month Google AI Pro subscription, which includes 2 TB of cloud storage.
Designed to endure, the Chromebook Plus Spin 514 is MIL-STD 810H compliant with an aluminum chassis and reinforced I/O ports. The 360-degree hinges support laptop, tablet, tent, and display modes. Its 14-inch touchscreen offers WQXGA+ or WUXGA resolution with stylus support and intuitive gesture-based editing.
Other highlights include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, OceanGlass touchpad, and AI-enhanced webcams with privacy shutters. Dual upward-firing stereo speakers with DTS Audio deliver quality sound for calls and entertainment.
Acer also introduced the Chromebox CXI6 and Chromebox Mini CXM2. The CXI6 supports up to four independent monitors and comes with Intel Core 7 power, Wi-Fi 6E, and a 2.5G LAN port. The Chromebox Mini CXM2, powered by Intel Core 3, features a compact fanless design and supports up to three monitors. Both Chromebox models can be VESA-mounted or secured with Kensington locks.
For businesses, Acer unveiled Chromebook Enterprise Plus Spin 514, Chromebox Enterprise CXI6, and Chromebox Enterprise Mini CXM2. These models come with Chrome Enterprise Upgrade for enhanced security, management, and administrative support.
