Makati City –  Thousands of public school students will soon benefit from safer and more durable classrooms as Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) formalized a partnership with A.C. Steel Industries, Inc. to support the Foundation’s Build a School, Build a Nation program.

Under the partnership, A.C. Steel will donate metal decking materials and roofing sheets for three school building projects this year, supporting the construction of 28 classrooms at Iloilo City National High School, Zamboanga del Norte National High School in Dipolog City, and Maasin City National High School in Leyte.

A valued client of the Bank, A.C. Steel joined the initiative through SBFI and Security Bank’s Branch Banking Group, which encouraged Bank clients to support the Foundation’s Bayanihan Para sa Silid Aralan campaign.

A trusted Philippine steel manufacturer, A.C. Steel supplies galvanized and pre-painted roofing sheets and metal decking materials for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Through this contribution, the company extends its mission of helping build safe and reliable structures for communities.

“We have always believed that meaningful banking relationships go beyond transactions,” said Fritzie Moog, Area Head for Makati 3 Branches. “When Richard Uy, Chief Operating Officer of A.C. Steel, reached out to ask how they could help build more classrooms, we immediately connected them with SBFI. It is inspiring to see a client invest in the future of Filipino learners.”

For A.C. Steel, the collaboration reflects its commitment to nation-building.

“We are honoured to support SBFI’s Build a School, Build a Nation Program,” said Enrique Sola, Chief Executive Officer of A.C. Steel. “A sturdy, well-built classroom creates a conducive learning environment for students. While our contribution is modest compared to the country’s needs, we hope it helps reduce the classroom shortage. We look forward to a long-term partnership with Security Bank Foundation as we work towards our shared goal of improving the quality of education in public schools.”

Rafael F. Simpao, Chairman of Security Bank Foundation, highlighted the importance of collaboration in expanding the Foundation’s education initiatives.

“We are grateful for partners like A.C. Steel who share our vision of building a better nation through education,” he said. When private institutions come together, we can create more opportunities for Filipino students and provide the learning spaces they deserve.”

Through partnerships with companies, communities, and Bank clients, Security Bank Foundation continues to help address classroom shortages nationwide. This year, SBFI aims to donate 60 classrooms across eight public schools nationwide.
