Coursera has rolled out localized pricing and a new course preview model to make online learning more affordable and engaging for Filipino learners. With over 2.9 million users in the country, the Philippines is now Coursera’s largest market in Asia.

Under the new pricing, Professional Certificates and Specializations start at $20 per month, while Coursera Plus is offered at $24 per month or $160 annually. This makes courses up to 60% less expensive. Individual courses can also be accessed at $31, with savings of up to 35%.

The new preview model replaces the old audit system and lets learners access the first module of most courses for free. This includes graded assignments, video content, and AI-powered support like Coursera Coach, when available. The feature allows learners to test the course experience before enrolling.

Learners also gain free access to Community Impact Courses covering mental health, refugee support, and public health. Financial aid remains available for eligible users.

Coursera CEO Greg Hart said the Philippines is one of the platform’s fastest-growing markets. “Our localized pricing ensures world-class learning is more accessible nationwide,” he said.

With over 183 million learners globally, Coursera continues to expand its reach. The platform partners with more than 350 universities and industry leaders to provide courses, professional certificates, and degrees across high-demand fields.
