Jungle Ushers in a Brighter Era with New Album ‘Sunshine’

The BRIT Award-winning electro-funk trio expands its signature soul, disco and electronic sound across 11 tracks, with Lydia Kitto officially joining J Lloyd and Tom McFarland as a full member.
Jungle is stepping into a new chapter with Sunshine, an 11-track album built around connection, hope and a brighter outlook.
The BRIT Award-winning global electro-funk group has released its latest studio album alongside the official one-shot video for its title track, “Sunshine.”
Featuring J Lloyd, Tom McFarland and Lydia Kitto, the record keeps the groove-driven foundation that has defined Jungle while opening the door to a warmer and more optimistic sound.
Across the album, the trio brings together elements of soul, disco, hip-hop and electronic music, supported by lush harmonies and a more organic approach to songwriting and production.
Lydia Kitto Steps Into a Bigger Role
Sunshine also represents an important milestone for Jungle as it becomes the first album to feature Lydia Kitto as an official member alongside founding members J Lloyd and Tom McFarland.
Kitto’s vocals take a prominent role throughout the record, including several lead performances. Together, the three members use layered and shared harmonies to give the album its distinct character.
The album was developed using homemade vocal samples, manipulated guitars, reworked demos and organic performances, allowing Jungle to approach the project with a more instinctive creative process.
A Record Built Around Hope and Connection
While Jungle’s danceable production remains intact, Sunshine turns its attention toward themes of connection, acceptance and hope.
That brighter direction also informed the album’s rollout.
A day before its release, Jungle hosted a series of global playback events that gave fans an opportunity to hear Sunshine early.
Participating record stores across Southeast Asia joined the celebration, including locations in Manila, Jakarta, Singapore and Malaysia, with attendees also receiving exclusive keepsakes.
Following the Success of ‘Back On 74’
The new record arrives after the momentum of Jungle’s 2023 album Volcano, which introduced the group to an even wider global audience through the viral success of “Back On 74.”
The track has surpassed 557 million streams, while gaining significant traction across TikTok and international charts.
Ahead of Sunshine, Jungle released “Carry On,” “The Wave,” and “Someday, Somewhere.” The songs received international radio support, including Radio 1 recognition and airplay across Southeast Asia.
Jungle is also preparing to take the new era on the road through an extensive world tour covering North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia and Latin America.
Physical editions of Sunshine are available on translucent brown marble vinyl, black vinyl and CD.
