Xyvrl Brings ‘Scottie T’ and ‘Sbapn’ to Pba Halftime Stage

The rising Bicolana rapper fulfilled a personal goal at Smart Araneta Coliseum and shared a full-circle moment with Barangay Ginebra star Scottie Thompson.

Rising Bicolana rapper XYVRL brought her signature “Swagapina” energy to the PBA halftime stage at Smart Araneta Coliseum on Friday, August 14.

Performing during the game between the Meralco Bolts and Barangay Ginebra, she energized the crowd with “Scottie T” and her latest release, “SBAPN.”

The performance marked a major milestone for the emerging hip-hop artist. Just two months earlier, XYVRL attended a Ginebra Finals game at the same venue and shared her hope of performing there someday.

That goal became a reality when she stepped onto the court and performed before basketball fans at one of the country’s most recognizable sporting venues.

The evening became even more meaningful when XYVRL met Barangay Ginebra star Scottie Thompson, the basketball player who inspired her track “Scottie T.”

Thompson acknowledged the song and thanked the rapper for creating a track inspired by him. The encounter completed a full-circle moment that connected XYVRL’s music with the basketball community that helped give the song greater meaning.

XYVRL also used the halftime performance to showcase “SBAPN,” which stands for “Super Baddie And Pretty Naman.”

Through her music, XYVRL brings together Bicolana pride, Filipino confidence, and a fresh approach to local hip-hop.
