As millions of Filipinos continue searching for work that better matches their skills and career goals, Jobstreet by SEEK is putting job search relevancy at the center of its latest regional campaign.

SEEK, the parent company of Jobstreet and Jobsdb, has launched the Find Better Matches campaign across six Asian markets, including the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Indonesia. The initiative addresses a growing concern among jobseekers: finding opportunities that genuinely align with their capabilities and aspirations rather than simply having more choices.

Addressing Job Mismatch in the Philippines

Job mismatch remains a significant challenge in the country. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the national unemployment rate eased to 5% in March 2026, but underemployment remained high at 12.3%, equivalent to around 6.03 million Filipinos who are seeking additional work or longer hours that better match their financial needs and professional skills.

The issue goes beyond employment figures. Jobstreet by SEEK’s latest Happiness Index Report found that 55% of Filipino workers frequently consider changing careers, reflecting a growing desire to find work that provides both professional fulfillment and better quality of life.

Using AI to Find Better Opportunities

The Find Better Matches campaign highlights SEEK’s AI-powered platform, which recommends jobs based on a candidate’s skills, experience, and previous search behavior.

Rather than requiring jobseekers to sift through thousands of listings, the platform uses millions of data points to surface opportunities that offer stronger alignment with an individual’s profile and preferences.

The campaign is brought to life through a creative digital video series featuring unique characters, including a mermaid and the Monkey King, each discovering jobs that fit their purpose and preferred working conditions.

“Relevancy is increasingly what matters most. With this campaign, we’re making it clear that Jobstreet and Jobsdb are the best places to find opportunities that genuinely fit,” said Maryanne Tsiatsias, Chief Marketing Officer APAC of SEEK.

Making Recruitment More Precise

Jobstreet by SEEK is also encouraging candidates to regularly update their profiles on the Jobstreet app to receive more personalized recommendations and identify roles marked with a Strong Applicant badge.

For employers, the platform’s AI-powered Talent Search tool ranks candidates using suitability scores, enabling faster and more accurate hiring decisions.

Finding Work That Fits

As career priorities evolve and workers increasingly seek roles that align with both their skills and personal aspirations, relevancy is becoming just as important as opportunity.

By focusing on better matches instead of simply presenting more job listings, Jobstreet by SEEK aims to help Filipinos discover roles where their talents can be fully utilized and where work becomes more meaningful and fulfilling.
