Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has officially unveiled a landmark CAD $100 million transformation, marking a new chapter for one of Canada’s most iconic mountain resorts. Nestled within 700 acres of wilderness in Jasper National Park, the reimagined destination introduces refreshed accommodations, elevated dining experiences, wellness-focused amenities, and new opportunities for adventure in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has long been known for its unique location surrounded by pristine forests, lakes, and mountain landscapes. Every cabin and accommodation offers direct access to the outdoors, creating a seamless connection between guests and nature.

General Manager Garrett Turta described Jasper as a place that evokes a sense of comfort and familiarity.

“There is something deeply restorative about arriving in Jasper,” Turta said, emphasizing that luxury at the lodge is defined by connection, space, and time spent together rather than excess.

Redesigned Arrival Experience

At the center of the transformation is a newly reimagined Main Lodge inspired by Jasper’s forests, mountains, and night skies. Guests are welcomed by panoramic views of Lac Beauvert and Whistlers Mountain, setting the tone for a stay focused on relaxation and exploration.

The resort also introduced Embark Outpost + Provisions, a new adventure hub where visitors can arrange guided experiences, access outdoor gear, enjoy local coffee, and shop for regional artisan products.

Families can also look forward to the upcoming Camp JPL Adventure Club, which will offer supervised programs designed to connect children with nature through outdoor activities, storytelling, and creative exploration.

More than 330 of the resort’s 397 guest rooms, suites, and signature cabins have been redesigned with interiors inspired by Jasper’s natural environment. Soft blue tones, organic materials, and handcrafted details create a refined yet welcoming atmosphere that complements the surrounding wilderness.

The resort’s historic Signature Cabins remain a highlight, offering spacious retreats ideal for family vacations, celebrations, and private gatherings. These accommodations now include opportunities for personalized experiences such as fireside dining, wellness rituals, and guided stargazing.

As part of its transformation, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has introduced three signature dining concepts that celebrate the flavors and landscapes of Jasper National Park.

Lume offers garden-inspired cuisine and cocktails influenced by Jasper’s changing light and dark sky experiences.

Elderwood transforms the historic Great Hall into a forest-inspired dining destination serving regional dishes and family-style meals.

The Barbicon delivers a modern mountain steakhouse experience centered around the lodge’s original 1922 stone fireplace, featuring aged ingredients and slow-crafted culinary techniques.

Wellness Without Walls

The transformation further strengthens the resort’s wellness offerings through experiences designed to reconnect guests with nature. Highlights include the Glacial Plunge & Sauna Journey on the shores of Lac Beauvert, combining thermal therapy, local botanicals, and mindfulness practices.
