This Father’s Day, Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation is shining a spotlight on an activity that goes beyond preparing meals: cooking together as a family.

Through stories shared by actor and family man Ian Veneracion and actor Dennis Trillo, Ajinomoto highlights how the kitchen can become a space for meaningful conversations, life lessons, and stronger family connections.

The Kitchen as a Place for Connection

For many families, cooking is more than a daily routine. It creates opportunities for parents and children to spend time together while learning practical skills.

Ian Veneracion shared that some of his family’s best conversations happen while preparing meals.

“Kitchen time equals quality time, walang pressure, walang agenda,” Ian said.

He explained that while chopping, frying, or waiting for food to cook, conversations naturally become more relaxed and honest.

As someone who enjoys preparing meals at home, Ian often relies on Ajinomoto Crispy Fry® Breading Mix when cooking family favorites such as fried chicken and other crispy dishes.

Creating Family Traditions Through Food

In Dennis Trillo’s household, preparing meals is a shared activity involving the entire family.

“Nagtutulong-tulong kami in preparing our food. Para samin, sitting down and eating our meals is our main type of bonding,” Dennis shared.

For Dennis, cooking provides children with an opportunity to develop responsibility while spending meaningful time together.

He noted that family members learn valuable skills while enjoying the process of creating meals.

One of the products frequently used in their kitchen is Sarsaya® Bulgogi Sauce, which allows families to prepare flavorful dishes with ease.

Finding Joy in Imperfect Moments

Both celebrity dads emphasized that cooking together is not always perfect, but those imperfections often become the most memorable moments.

Dennis recalled a time when ingredients were accidentally spilled during meal preparation. Instead of getting upset, the family adjusted the recipe and continued cooking together.

“Sabi ko sa kanila, you don’t need to be a perfect cook. Ang importante is you have fun cooking,” he said.

Ian shared a similar experience while teaching his children how to make an omelet.

While the cooking lesson did not go exactly as planned, the laughter and shared experience became the most valuable part of the activity.

According to Ian, years later, children may not remember exactly how the food tasted, but they will remember the moments spent together around the table.

More Than a Meal

Ajinomoto’s Father’s Day campaign highlights how cooking can help families create meaningful memories while teaching children valuable life skills.

From measuring ingredients and following recipes to cleaning up and working as a team, every step becomes an opportunity for learning and connection.

As Father’s Day approaches, the company encourages families to create heartwarming kitchen moments through simple home-cooked meals shared with the people who matter most.

Why It Matters

In an increasingly digital world, simple family activities such as cooking together continue to offer meaningful opportunities for connection. Ajinomoto’s Father’s Day campaign reminds families that some of life’s most memorable moments can happen around the kitchen table.
