Zyxel Networks has expanded its outdoor wireless access point portfolio with two ruggedized WiFi solutions designed to help managed service providers support businesses, campuses, venues, and homes that need reliable connectivity beyond indoor spaces.

Announced on July 2, 2026, the new NWA55AX PRO and NWA55AX PTP access points are built for outdoor, industrial, semi-industrial, hospitality, public, and long-range deployment environments.

The launch comes as businesses continue to require stronger wireless coverage not only inside offices and facilities, but also in outdoor spaces such as campuses, resorts, cafes, event venues, transport areas, and remote site extensions.

Both devices can be managed through Zyxel Networks’ Nebula cloud platform. This allows MSPs to deploy, monitor, and optimize WiFi performance for customers more efficiently, especially across locations that require scalable and easier-to-manage networking.

“In today’s fully connected world, it’s essential for businesses to provide reliable wireless connectivity outdoors as well as inside buildings,” said Gary Chen, SEA regional head at Zyxel Networks. He added that the new devices allow MSPs to serve fast-growing market areas with enterprise-class performance, SMB pricing, and cloud-based manageability through Nebula.

The NWA55AX PRO is designed for responsive and affordable outdoor WiFi access. It supports WiFi 6 speeds of up to AX3000 and carries an IP55 rating for weather-resistant everyday operation. Zyxel said the device is suited for smaller industrial sites, campuses, businesses, and home workers who need extended coverage.

Meanwhile, the NWA55AX PTP is a paired point-to-point access point solution designed to create a direct wireless link over distances of up to five kilometers out of the box. This makes it useful for sites that need to connect separate buildings, outdoor zones, or remote areas without relying on complex cabling.

The point-to-point model is positioned for education campuses, stadiums, event locations, holiday resorts, railway stations, airports, and other public spaces where stable long-distance connectivity is needed.

For MSPs, the new devices open opportunities to serve a wider outdoor connectivity market. For businesses and organizations, they provide practical options for expanding network access into areas where traditional indoor WiFi may not be enough.

As digital operations, guest connectivity, hybrid work, smart facilities, and outdoor services continue to grow, reliable outdoor WiFi is becoming less of a luxury and more of a business requirement.

The key story is simple: Zyxel Networks is giving MSPs and SMBs more tools to bring stable, cloud-managed wireless connectivity to outdoor spaces that need to stay connected.
