Set within an NFL franchise, The Land follows two families whose personal relationships are closely tied to the future of the Cleveland Browns. Pressure builds both on the field and inside the team’s front offices as supporters demand a winning season.
At the center of the story is Danny Roarke, the Browns’ head coach. After several disappointing seasons, he has one final opportunity to turn the team around.
His future rests on a newly drafted quarterback from Ohio State—a player who also happens to be his son. That connection brings family expectations into an already demanding professional setting, with the team’s performance carrying consequences for both father and son.
Meanwhile, team owner Hal Durkin faces a succession decision of his own. He must determine which of his two daughters is best equipped to take over the franchise.
The two storylines place questions of trust, leadership, and family responsibility alongside the pursuit of success in professional football. With a loyal fanbase waiting for results, another disappointing season could bring major changes.
The ensemble cast includes Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan, William H. Macy, and Omar Epps.
Fogelman created the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Joining him as executive producers are Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls, and Justin Adler, alongside David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed for Skydance Sports.
The Land is a 20th Television and Skydance Sports production.
For Philippine viewers, the two-episode premiere introduces a drama in which the stakes extend beyond the scoreboard: a coach’s career, a father-son relationship, and the future leadership of a franchise all hang in the balance.
The Land begins streaming on Disney+ Philippines on February 15, 2027, with new episodes every Monday.
