Now in PH cinemas
Zoë Kravitz takes center stage as Yvonne in Darren Aronofsky’s new crime thriller “Caught Stealing,” now showing in Philippine cinemas.
The film follows Hank Thompson, played by Austin Butler, a former baseball star dragged into New York’s criminal underworld after a simple favor for his neighbor spirals into danger. Alongside him is Yvonne, an EMT and Hank’s girlfriend, who balances passion with empathy.
“Yvonne’s an empathetic person,” Kravitz shares. “She likes to take care of people, including Hank. She doesn’t do the best job, but she tries.” Director Darren Aronofsky highlights the strong on-screen chemistry between Kravitz and Butler, calling their love affair “special and intimate.”
The movie, based on Charlie Huston’s novel, features a cast that includes Matt Smith and Regina King. Huston says seeing Kravitz and the ensemble bring his characters to life was like stepping back into his own New York experiences from the 90s.
With explosive action, raw emotion, and electrifying performances, “Caught Stealing” is a thrill ride for fans of crime dramas.
