YouTube Music is celebrating its 10th anniversary with new features designed to make music sharing more personal. Leading the update is the launch of “taste match” playlists, a shared playlist that evolves daily based on the listening habits of everyone who joins.
The feature mirrors Spotify’s Blend, giving you a chance to discover your friends’ and family’s favorite tracks while finding new music that fits your shared taste.
YouTube Music is also adding the option to leave comments directly on albums and playlists, opening more ways for listeners to connect. In partnership with Bandsintown, the platform will also highlight upcoming concerts on artists’ videos, shorts, and channels. On top of this, new notifications will alert you when an artist announces a release, drops new merch, or confirms an event date.
With these updates, YouTube Music aims to strengthen both music discovery and community interaction as it marks a decade of streaming.
