Friendship and fate collide in Wicked: For Good
The spellbinding story of friendship, choices, and destiny reaches its final act as Wicked: For Good lands in Philippine theaters on November 19.
The film reunites Academy Award-nominated Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and pop superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, reprising their roles from the global box-office hit Wicked (2024). The first film grossed $750 million worldwide and scored 10 Oscar nominations, winning for Costume Design and Production Design.
In this last chapter, Elphaba and Glinda face the weight of their decisions as allies turned rivals. The film also features Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, and Jonathan Bailey, under the direction of Jon M. Chu.
Produced by Marc Platt and David Stone, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a screenplay by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox, the movie adapts Gregory Maguire’s bestselling novel and the stage musical that defined a generation. John Powell and Schwartz return to helm the film’s score.
Universal Pictures promises an emotional conclusion filled with music, magic, and the timeless message of friendship.
