Anticipation is reaching fever pitch after the cast and crew of Surely Tomorrow reunited in Seoul for a press conference, giving fans an irresistible preview of the sweeping romance to come. Director Lim Hyun-ook, joined by leads Park Seo-jun and Won Ji-an, teased emotional twists, surprising character arcs, and the kind of heart-fluttering chemistry fans have been craving. Surely Tomorrow follows the intertwined lives of Lee Kyeong-do (Park Seo-jun) and Seo Ji-woo (Won Ji-an). The pair first fell in love in their early twenties, only to part ways. They reunited in their late twenties and gave romance another chance, but once again went their separate paths. Years later, fate brings them together unexpectedly—Kyeong-do, now a journalist covering a sensational scandal, and Ji-woo, the wife of the man at the center of it. Against the backdrop of public scrutiny and personal history, their story unfolds into a surprising third chapter. The series premieres December 6, with new episodes released weekly in over 240 countries and territories, exclusively on Prime Video. Here’s why you won’t want to miss it:

1. Park Seo-jun Is Finally Back Where We Want Him

The wait is over. Five years after his megahit Itaewon Class, Park Seo-jun returns to Korean television in a grounded, emotionally rich role. Though he dazzled in Concrete Utopia, The Marvels, and Jinny’s Kitchen, fans have been eagerly anticipating his return to a heartfelt modern drama—and Surely Tomorrow delivers.

2. A Dream Team of Hitmakers

With director Lim Hyun-ook (King the Land, Reflection of You) and acclaimed writer Yu Young-ah (Divorce Attorney Shin, Thirty-Nine) steering the ship, the series promises polished storytelling, emotional depth, and scenes that linger long after the credits roll.

3. Bold New Characters, Bold New Performances

Both leads step into roles unlike anything they’ve taken on before. Park Seo-jun introduced his character, “Kyeong-do is an entertainment journalist. He’s a consistent person who doesn’t change. He’s detailed, caring, very considerate, but also determined.” The actor also talked about the challenge of taking on the role of a journalist and shared, “Our director was also a journalist, so I asked him a lot of detailed questions.” Won Ji-an also shared about her character and said, “Ji-woo is unpredictable, lively, and capricious. However, she also carries pain within herself. Through meeting Kyeong-do, she grows. My character undergoes a diverse range of changes. I think you’ll be able to see very different sides of her.” She also touched upon the challenge of portraying a character in their thirties for the first time and said, “There was some pressure regarding portraying different ages for my character. However, through having discussions, filming, and utilizing my imagination—I thought that this project would help me grow a lot as an actor.”

4. A Romance Told Across Time

Director Lim Hyun-ook revealed that the series unfolds through shifting timelines, capturing how love evolves across different seasons of life.  “The characters are seen in different periods of their lives. I think that how the different times in their lives show up in the series is very unique. It’s not chronological and the specific time period is not important. Rather than the time period being important, I think the weight of their relationship across each period is more important. I wanted to showcase the different seasons to show the differences in their relationship, so we had to film during all four seasons. For example, just by viewing Ji-woo, you’ll be able to tell which period she is in.” Being able to see the main leads in different times and how their feelings fluctuate and change will provide layered nuances to the storytelling.

5. The Perfect Romance for the Season

As temperatures drop, Surely Tomorrow arrives as the perfect companion. Park Seo-jun commented, “It’s considered a romance series, but I think it’s closer to a melodrama. Most people will be able to relate to many parts of the series. I think it’s closer to reality, and there are realistic moments. It is a great series to watch for the current season and weather.” Won Ji-an added, “I think it’ll be fun for viewers to see whether it will have a happy or sad ending. It’s not predictable and there are many ebbs and flows in their relationship, so I think it’ll be fun to watch out for this. Since the weather is getting colder, I hope everyone can enjoy watching the series in the warmth of their homes.”

Warm, wistful, and irresistibly relatable, Surely Tomorrow invites you into a love story worth revisiting. Streaming exclusively on Prime Video, Saturdays and Sundays starting December 6.
